North Shore Lane Project

The dredging project, aimed at enhancing La Crosse County water conservation efforts, runs from Red Pines to Schafer’s, parallel to North Shore Drive. It then connects with the existing channel to Dresbach, contributing to the broader Mississippi River basin restoration initiatives. Dredging will commence after the fall harvest, following the funds raised for this purpose. The expected volume of dredge material is 18,500 cubic yards, extending over 1,500 feet. This material will be de-watered at the Metallics site and subsequently removed, with the specifics to be determined later. This project aligns with Onalaska environmental advocacy and supports ongoing Onalaska WI lake restoration efforts, particularly around Lake Onalaska.
